squared off

The afghan square now looks like a square. I used a cardboard cut out 8" square to help determine where I needed to add stitches. The cardboard square is really the way to go when you're making something to be a particular size. It's quicker than measuring, and you can see at a glance how the piece is progressing. I'm going to use it again when I make another freeform square for this project.

Excellent squaring-off of the spirals! I totally agree using a template makes everything go faster and is much easier. Ever thought of using a template for a garment?? I'd LOVE to see a vest of spirals!!!
